Our first generation of products at Hermit Cards have been released and sold out very quickly. This support has meant the world and guaranteed a future for this project. It's also been a bumpy ride with a few changes along the way. I thought it was time to provide some clarity for the most interested fans.
Booster Packs
Booster packs for all Hermit Cards products moving forward will contain at least 4 cards and 1 sticker. Roughly a third of packs will also include a foil card. God packs, rare packs that contain only foil cards, exist (~6-7%). Ascendant packs, ultra rare packs that contain only foil cards AND a serialized card, exist(~2%).
Champion Packs
Champion packs for all Hermit Cards products moving forward will contain 40 cards and 10 stickers OR foils. Card doubles in Champion packs are avoided as much as possible. Champion packs have the highest probability of containing serialized cards. Moving forward most Champion packs will contain a serialized card.
Chase Cards
All Hermit Cards products have a chance to contain a variety of extremely rare card types. Sometimes these are rare cards that will never see reprint, other times these are unique glow-in-the-dark cards. Their are other types that have yet to be discovered. Information on these cards will always be limited.
The following information has been confirmed:
- Hermit's Harem w1 contains normal cards, foil cards, serialized cards, glow-in-the-dark cards, promo cards, and other rare pieces.
- Fan Service Vol 1 contains normal cards, foil cards, serialized cards, glow-in-the-dark cards, promo cards, and other rare pieces.
- The next wave of Fan Service Vol1 packs will also contain a single 1/1 clear plastic card for each piece of art in the set. This means ~250 new super rare cards in a unlikely to be reprinted format.
Stickers
Stickers contained in Hermit Cards packs are made the same size as the cards so they can be collected and sleeved. Sticker images can be images from the set whos packs they're contained in, rare art that almost made the set but was cut, and extremely rare art from potential future projects or other promos. Stickers also come in standard, foil, and multiple unique foiling options.
Corrections and Updates
I strive to produce the best possible product I can. As we're a small studio trying many new things constantly this will often mean areas where improvement are possible. For example, our first generation of packs was a little too small and had imperfect gluing. This resulted in glue getting on an extremely small amount of cards. When that was brought to our attention we immediately increased the pack size by 8% and found a higher quality glue.
There WILL be more problems in the future. I promise to do all I can to resolve these as they come up.
