How We Got Here - WHATNOT, Caffeine Critical, and High Adventure

Months ago, on a late night of streaming, I picked up a path I've been walking for the past 6 months. I needed to sell my collectables, Magic the Gathering was not selling, so I open an old box of Chinese customs. Most of these cards were lewd Pokemon customs and suddenly the tone of the stream shifted. Suddenly we were joking around, having a ball, and making sales. The weirder the cards the better and, after selling all my Poke-lewds I set out looking for the most interesting lewd cards to stock for sale.

This is how I first discovered Caffeine Critical. Simple put, Caffeine Critical is the best printer of lewd waifu cards on this side of the Pacific. Honestly, maybe worldwide. He is an American artist creating their own sets and platforming the next generation of American waifu card printers. It's hard to overstate what they've done for this community. They're also an honestly nice guy who provides a lot of advice and seems keen to see others as community not competition.

I placed an order and very quickly sold out. Within weeks I found this was not a fluke but within months I found WHATNOT was a terrible platform that was leading to a dead end. As someone who had recently been laid off and was now paying their families bills  via waifu cards, I did absolutely everything in my power to make it work on WHATNOT and it just wasn't happening.

After talking with Caffeine Critical, who had become something of an advisor at this point, it became clear it was time to release my own sets. This lead to the creation of both Hermit's Harem - Wave 1 and Fan Service Vol 1. Weeks of late nights, constant experimentation with printing and materials, and a few payment processors later we had our release, started building a community, and started this adventure properly.
